Pam Marino is a Silicon Valley native who grew up in Los Altos and now resides in Cupertino. She walked in her share of Downtown Pet Parades, learned tennis thanks to the Parks and Recreation Department, and sold Camp Fire Candy in front of many a local bank branch. From age 7 Pam daily read the Peninsula Times Tribune, and weekly the Los Altos Town Crier. She decided early on she wanted to be a journalist.

After graduating from Homestead High School, Pam went on to get her degree from San Diego State University, where she spent time outside of class as a reporter and editor for The Daily Aztec.

Pam has worked professionally for weekly papers in Southern California and here in the Silicon Valley. She mainly covered city hall issues, elections, and courts, as well as writing feature stories. In between jobs she focused on raising three kids with her husband and volunteering in local schools and the community. All three of her kids graduated from Cupertino schools and attended De Anza College.

Pam now works as a freelance journalist, covering a wide variety of topics. She started her own website, goodneighborstories.com, which features stories about people who are helping others, whether around the block or around the world. Pam is excited about the new frontier of online local journalism and looks forward to being a part of the industry as it evolves.
