Kristine Wong, the founding editor of Half Moon Bay Patch, launched the site in 2010 and served as editor until May 18, 2012.

Kristine became a video and multimedia journalist after over 10 years of working in environmental and public health organizations in the Bay Area and Seattle. She has produced stories for television, radio, and online news, and has a masters degree from the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism, a masters in public health from the University of Washington, and a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources from UC Berkeley.

In addition to reporting on city government, small business, courts and crime, fishing, sustainable agriculture, big wave surfing and the arts on the Half Moon Bay Coastside from Montara to Pescadero, she has reported on climate issues, California's High Speed Rail project, and on a variety of social, cultural and environmental issues.
