It offers numerous recreation…More programs and classes.</p> <p>It also is the site of the popular LAYC dances for Los Altos teens in 7th or 8th grades, or those attending Los Altos schools. Parent chaperones and paid city staff supervise. Membership, which provides admission to the 10 dances, is $74.  Each dance has a guest list of members who have e-mailed their plans to attend; dances are not drop-in events.</p> <p>The center is also rented out for non-youth activities, from the Rotary Club to Chamber of Commerce events. The Recreation Department, at the nearby Hillview Community Center, has rates and information.</p>
