Summer is in full swing and there's plenty to do in Los Altos—and next door with our neighbors. Summer concert series are so crowded on Thursdays, that Wednesdays have become popular in neighboring Palo Alto and Sunnyvale (We'll have to include that next week). Most of it is al fresco, so enjoy!

THURSDAY
Downtown Los Altos Farmers Market, 4 to 8 p.m., State Street and Second Street - Pick up organically grown, fresh fruit and vegetables at the cutest little farmers market around. Besides fixin's for dinner, though, you can just eat dinner al fresco here, or repair to Hillview Center Soccer Field for the free Summer Concert (see below)

Free Summer Concert - Daze on the Green, playing classic rock 'n' roll! Grab some food at the Farmers Market and head over to Hillview Center Soccer Field in Los Altos, 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Thursday Night Live, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. starts this week in downtown Mountain View. This kicks off the weekly summer street closure night for our neighbors next door. Enjoy food, shop, learn about the community, check out vintage cars and dance to The Peelers, who'll play at the intersection of Castro Street and Dana Streets.

Stanford Shopping Center Summer Jazz Series, 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. - The annual free jazz concerts began in June, so get caught up with some Cuban son, guajira and cha-cha-cha by LaTiDo (presented by SFJAZZ) at The Clock Tower Plaza, Stanford Shopping Center, 180 El Camino Real, Palo Alto.
