Los Altos Weekend Planner: Exploratorium on the Green

Forget the drive to San Francisco and trying to find a parking space—enjoy exhibits from the Exploratorium right here in Los Altos.

Saturday

State Street Green – All day. State Street Green is a pop-up park that will be in place for a month while construction is completed at the intersection of First and State Streets. Bring a picnic and enjoy this emerald jewel.

Los Altos History MuseumNoon-4 p.m.  The museum is a unique three level architecture and is surrounded by a garden. They have a permanent collection called Crown of the Peninsula that describes the rich history of Los Altos. Temporary exhibit-Two centuries of California architecture. The exhibit takes you from the times of the first Spanish settlers to modern times. Our architecture reflects the California lifestyle and the exhibit lets us explore this using images, text and artifacts. Admission is free. The Los Altos History Museum is located at 51 S. San Antonio Road. The museum is open Thursday -  Sunday.
