Diana Dîaz López, Korda’s daughter and head of the Korda Estate, and Foothill College Photography Instructor Ron Herman, curator of the exhibition, will discuss the life and photographs of Alberto Korda with a special screening of the short film Simply Korda. The free lecture is from 6 to 7 p.m. in Room 1501. The exhibit opening reception is Oct 2 from 7:30-9:30 p.m. in the KCI Gallery.
Astrophysical theorist Eliot Quataert, Ph.D., of the University of California, Berkeley, will discuss How the Universe Went from Smooth to Lumpy: The Modern Origins Story, an illustrated, non-technical lecture, 7 p.m. in the Smithwick Theatre at Foothill College in Los Altos Hills.
