The American Cancer Society is recruiting volunteers to serve as Cancer Prevention Study-3 Community Champions throughout the South Bay.

Volunteers should be passionate about helping to discover better ways to prevent, treat, and cure cancer.

Five kickoff events for potential volunteers start Wednesday, May 29 and continue through June 12 at various South Bay locations.

Events will be at:

  • June 1: Noon, Sunnyvale Discovery Shop, 1659 Hollenbeck Road, Sunnyvale
  • June 5: Noon, Los Altos Discovery Shop, 243 Main St., Los Altos
  • June 12: Noon, San Jose Discovery Shop, 1103 Branham Lane, San Jose
At the 60-minute event, participants will get information about how to educate the community about CPS-3. Whether you are a survivor, caregiver to a cancer patient, or are interested in honoring a friend or loved one who has battled cancer, you are invited to serve as a CPS-3 Champion.

For more information about CPS-3, call 408-688-0083 or 1-888-604-5888, email CPS3SV@cancer.org, or visit www.cancer.org/cps3.
