A Teenager's View on the Benefits of Volunteering
Max Darrow, a senior at Pinewood School, has been an avid volunteer for the past six years.
Six years ago, Max Darrow, a 17-year-old student at Pinewood School in the Los Altos Hills, began volunteering at a local senior center to spend more time with his grandmother.
Two years ago, his grandmother died. But the spirit of helping others remained with Darrow, who narrates his experiences volunteering at local senior service organizations for Menlo Park Patch. Read more .
