Tyler Stow threw out the first pitch, officially beginning the Giants' season at its home opener on Friday.

Although it was for the San Francisco Giants' home opener against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Friday, he couldn't appear in person.
The first pitch thrown out by Stow's son Tyler. Stow, the Santa Cruz County resident and Santa Clara County EMT who was badly beaten on Opening Day in Los Angeles last year, appeared on screen with his mother to wish Tyler good luck.
