Your Time: First Friday, 'Friends' Book Sale

Get ready for some fun leisure this weekend

 

It's May, and that means Los Altos Forward is holding its fortnightly 'First Friday.'

Over 35 downtown merchants will be participating in the First Friday. The evening includes several fun–and free—activities including:
- May Flowers Treasure Hunt
- Drawings for over $1,000 of gift certificates donated by local merchants and restaurants
- Complimentary sweets provided by the merchants
- Mother's Day card creation activity and cookies for children
- Music along the streets- “Community Corner”.  Come meet and talk to a number of local non-profits along with Los Altos Councilman Jarrett FIshpaw

First Friday Headquarters is at 170 State St (between 3rd and 4th).  This is where you can pick up an event program, enter the drawing, and visit the Community Corner.

It's also time for the quarterly Friends of the Los Altos Libary book sale.

Friday is reserved for members' families. Saturday and Sunday are open 10- 3 p.m. On Sunday, you can buy the $5 book bag on sale!
