Waldorf preschool and kindergarten programs create a nurturing atmosphere of wonder, beauty, respect and security for children to begin their life-long process of engagement with the world.  In the WSP kindergarten, children learn through play, purposeful work, storytelling and puppet shows, as well as practical and artistic activities.

Activities include indoor and outdoor creative play, circle time, snack, tidy-up time, and story time. Through joyful engagement in our pre-academic curriculum, children develop lifelong capacities for creative thinking, healthy senses, self-confidence, awareness of others, and readiness and enthusiasm for academic learning.

Waldorf Education is approaching its 100th anniversary with more than 2,000 kindergartens and early childhood programs in 80 countries around the world. Waldorf School of the Peninsula was established in 1984 by a small group of parents and educators, who were motivated by the great need, in the highly technological area of Silicon Valley, for a school that would address the heart and will as well as the mind of the child. WSP currently serves approximately 300 students in our nursery through high school programs.
