School Board Meetings to Be Televised by October

Residents can watch the Los Altos School Board meetings from the comfort of their homes—or on their laptops or tablets—soon, but not yet.

In a little more than a month, the Los Altos School District's board meetings can be watched from the comfort of your own home.

Plans that were approved are slowly moving apace and the board's first meeting will be broadcast and streamed live in October, School Superintendent Jeffrey Baier reported to the district's Board of Trustees Monday night.

One district staffer has been coordinating with three different vendors on getting in order the live webcasting/broadcast of board meetings on Baier said.

These would be similar to the webcast/broadcast of Los Altos City Council meetings, Baier said. The board's last meeting in September will be taped, and the first meeting in October will go live, he said.
