Whiz Kids from PA, MV, LA Win at '2014 Tech Challenge'
The annual challenge in San Jose combines engineering, math and science.
Schoolkids from Palo Alto, Mountain View, Los Altos Hills and Los Altos walked away as winners at the 2014 Tech Challenge, an annual team design, science and engineering challenge for students in grades 5-12, that ended Sunday.
Designed to inspire the next generation of Silicon Valley innovators, the 27th Annual Tech Challenge, presented by Cisco at the The Tech Museum of Innovation, provides months of team learning in science, engineering, and math and culminated on April 12-13, with an awards ceremony, recognizing everything from Best Costume to Sportsmanship.
The Tech Challenge is open to students in grades 5-12, who compete on teams of two to six people at three levels: Elementary: 5-6; Middle School: 7-8; High School: 9-12.
