Los Altos Seen: It's Summer!

Graduations are behind us, and the weather has not only cooperated but given us a taste of the seemingly endless days ahead.

Sometimes, we just like to have visual confirmation that summer is here.

We asked, what says "summer" to you?

Ciera Pasturel responded with several of the vibrant scenes around Los Altos. Here's what she had to say about them:

While we are not far from the beach, nor are we a long drive to San Francisco, what do local Los Altans do for fun during the summer?

One might decide to take a short, pleasant walk to downtown Los Altos, or get together with friends and cool off at a local community pool.

For me, summer means taking off time from school to relax and pursue things that I enjoy, and environments that make me smile. Summer is pushing the status quo, and trying things that one might do on a regular basis.

From these photographs, one may view summer in Los Altos as a social experience, getting together with friends and family. A majority of my photographs capture peoples’ expressions and activities that they pursue during the warm days of summer.

Whether it is getting Jamba Juice Downtown, or buying fresh, organic produce at the Los Altos Farmers’ market, these experiences capture a concept that many Los Altans can relate to.
