Los Altos High School Class of 2011 Graduates Friday

An unusually large number of valedictorians and speakers will be recognized at the 6 p.m. gathering at Tom Burt Field.

The Los Altos High School Class of 2011, nearly 400 strong, graduates on Friday, celebrating their accomplishments in their last hour and a half together before they embark on the next adventure in a waiting world.

This year's class has an unusually large number of valedictorians—nine students who maintained a 4.0 grade-point average all four years of high school. They are Caleb An, Lauren Bednarski, Rachel Grate, Victoria Greenen, Sean Langhi, Mark Levin, Egan McComb, Jacqueline Treiger and Gary Yu.

There are a large number of speakers this year, as well. These students, an all-girl lineup, were selected through tryouts before a panel of staff and faculty. The speakers include Yareli Flores, Rachel Grate, Jill Rubin and Carolyn Yang.
