LIVE BLOG: Blach - Bullis Site Sharing Public Meeting

UPDATE, May 24, 2013: Patch has added the presentation slides used by Los Altos School Board president Doug Smith from Wednesday night's community forum.

The live blog incorrectly captured an answer to a question about shared and exclusive spaces that Patch is correcting first in this article: The Bullis Charter School servery is exclusive and not shared. Patch Editor L.A. Chung asked a follow-up question to clarify that question, answered by Los Altos School District President Doug Smith on Thursday:

The "8 days" refers to days when BCS has exclusive use of the MPR.  Blach has a similar schedule with the same 8 days (despite a significantly larger population)  Blach uses those 8 days for things like band concerts, set up for school dances, etc.  BCS would be free to do with them as they please also.  Again, this is a "floor".  If we're all getting along well, and the request comes through, we can certainly consider it.

Editor's Note, May 22: Patch will update this story and make corrections on the live blog Thursday. There is some information that was not captured on the live blog, and some that needs to be corrected.

Parents, staff and community members will meet at 7 p.m. in the Blach Intermediate School Multi-Purpose Room Wednesday to discuss logistical issues and concerns for the sharing the campus between Bullis Charter School and Blach students.

Blach School is located at 1120 Covington Road, Los Altos.

Follow along with Patch as we attend the meeting, too.

Patch is still using a CoverItLive link to live blog the Blach-Bullis community meeting until we regain capability to embed the live coverage directly onto Los Altos Patch's site.
