Grace Mah Attending New Schools Venture Fund Summit

Santa Clara County Board of Education President Grace Mah and board member Joseph DiSalvo will attend the invitation-only summit held by the New Schools Venture Fund at the end of April, the Palo Alto Weekly reported in a wide-ranging profile of the Mah on March 8.

The venture philanthropy firm, which has invested in charter schools and other efforts to innovate in public schools, holds the summit each year. , is one of the ventures it has invested in.  

Mah and DiSalvo had requested from the SCCBOE approval of registration fee funds of up to $650 each to attend the summit at the San Francisco Airport Marriott Waterfront Hotel. Mah represents District 1, which includes Los Altos, Los Altos Hills and Palo Alto.
