- Judge Lucas is not allowing any of the late filings. Patch had erroneously understood she was not allowing the parties that had applied to appear as friend of the court, but that was incorrect.

- She is asking the Bullis Charter School attorney to answer her. She asks how specifically, the relief being asked (a school campus) relate to the original appellate court ruling?

Lawyers face off in the hearing that asks Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge Patricia M. Lucas to order the Los Altos School District to:

  • Hand over one of four campuses to the Bullis Charter School in 2013 and
  • Negotiate with the charter school for greater space at Egan Jr. High School in 2012.

Three organizations—The Huttlinger Alliance for Education, Association of California School Administrators and the California School Boards Association filed for friend of the court status in order to argue their own interests in support of the school district.
