Pet Disaster Preparedness Event at Foothill College

Is your pet prepared for the next big one? If not, check out “Pet Ready,” a free afternoon of pet disaster preparedness ‘basics’ at Foothill College, Los Altos Hills campus.

Sponsored by Adobe Animal & Mid-Peninsula Animal Hospitals, pet owners will learn how to plan for their pets, apply first aid, bandage a broken limb, and make a first aid kit. Takes place at Building 8500-8700 near parking lot 7. Also get a tour of the state-of-the-art Veterinary Technology Lab, room 8507.

Special guest Peter Gross, search dog handler for FEMA, and the search-and-rescue team lead during Hurricane Katrina and the World Trade Center attacks following September 11, 2001, will demonstrate search and rescue dogs in action.
