Santa Clara County invites the public to participate in the World Elder Abuse Awareness Day commemoraton. Activities include a panel discussion to identify, prevent and end elder abuse; senior scams and financial abuse' delegating conrol over major decisions, and aging gracefully.
There will be presentations by guest speakers who include Supervisor Dave Cortese, president of the county board of supervisors; District Attorney Jeff Rosen, Lee Pullen, director of the Department of Aging and Adult Services and Miguel Marquez, Santa Clara county counsel.
Attendees will also hear from a panel of experts on senior needs and issues.
