Egan Junior High Student Wins Storm Drain Logo Contest

His design featuring green hills and blue waters will be painted on 70 storm drains in downtown Los Altos.

Egan Junior High student Nils Kuper is the winner of the , sponsored by the Los Altos Public Sculpture Committee.

Nils' design of a sunny sky, green hills and blue waters with birds and fish will grace 70 storm drains in the downtown triangle. The logo says "No Dumping" and "Drains to Adobe Creek".

The contest was open to all Los Altos students in grades seven to 12. In addition to his design atop the storm drains, Nils wins $100.

Mayor Ron Packard recognized Nils' achievement at the Los Altos City Council meeting on Tuesday.
