Don't Hang Up: It's A LASD Phone Poll

Telephone polling began Monday for a possible bond measure, gauging willingness among some 400 voters in the Los Altos School District and continues through next Monday.

Have an opinion about a possible bond measure that the Los Altos School District is contemplating to build a 10th campus? When the phone rings, don't let it go to voicemail.

Polling began this week by EMC Research, the marketing consultant hired to gaurge the feasibility among likely voters who live within the school district's boundaries.

Superintendent Jeff Baier confirmed that the figure currently under discussion for the bond measure is about $100 million. It would allow the district to do much, or a portion of the Phase 2 capital improvement projects that has planned for the future. How much, just depends whatever are the conditions on the site of the 10th campus it wants to build to house Bullis Charter School.

Results of the survey will be discussed at the May 7 board meeting.
