Checking Out Colleges? Do It With Friends!

Four days, eight colleges: The Los Altos Recreation Department offers a Northern California tour of colleges you might be considering.

 

Los Altos Recreation Department will offer daily tours to Northern California colleges for 10th-12th grade students February 19 to 22.

The tour is one of four supervised college exploration tours the recreation department will offer this year. It builds off of which took 33 students to eight Southern California colleges, plus (of course) Disneyland.

This year's Presidents' week tour is focused on Northern California colleges and does not require any lodging. Each day's trip will feature two schools such as University of California-Davis, UC-Santa Cruz, UC-Merced, UC-Berkeley; California State University-Monterey Bay, CSU-Chico, CSU-Sonoma; University of the Pacific.

Tour schedule is as follows: Tuesday, February 19, CSU-Monterey Bay and UC-Santa Cruz; Wednesday, February 20, CSU-Chico and UC-Davis; Thursday, February 21, University of the Pacific and UC-Merced; Friday, February 22, UC Berkeley and CSU Sonoma. Trips will depart from the Los Altos Recreation Department at 7 a.m. each day and times to return will vary.

Tours will be given by campus representatives and several campuses will offer admission presentations for students.

The cost is $359 for four days or $99 per day. Participants must bring money for lunch and dinner. Cost includes supervision, transportation, and snacks.
