Congresswoman Anna G. Eshoo will visit Wednesday to address students regarding the issue of impending student loan interest rate increases.
Eshoo will be joined by Foothill student and business major Ashley Oropeza and Foothill College President Judy C. Miner, Ed.D., to discuss the impact of the impending student loan interest rate increase July 1.
The hourlong event starts at noon in Foothill's Campus Center Plaza.
In addition to the student loan interest rate information presented by Rep. Eshoo, the event includes the kick off to the college's Latino Heritage Month, and highlights the cultural enrichment activities occurring throughout May, including guest lectures, an art exhibit, a career development conference, a community open house and more.
Students, faculty and staff celebrate the rich cultural diversity of the Foothill campus community throughout the year, and especially during its heritage month festivities, which run from January through June.
Parking lots 1, 3, 5 and 7 provide best access to the Campus Center Plaza. Purchase required parking permit for $3 from dispensers in any student lot.
