Town Council Weighs Cancelling November Election

The council could save an estimated $20,000 by appointing all three candidates for the three Town Council seats up for election.

 

With three candidates vying for three seats, the Los Altos Hills Town Council must decide Thursday morning whether to cancel the November election and appoint all three candidates, or proceed with the election, which would have two newcomers running.

The council has an 8 a.m. special meeting scheduled to make that decision.

The town would save an estimated $20,400 according to a memo received from the county Registrar of Voters office.

Incumbent Rich Larsen, currently the mayor, is running for re-election. John Harpootlian and Courtenay C. Corrigan are the other two candidates.
