Simitian to be Sworn in as County Supervisor Monday

Joe Simitian returns to the office he last held a dozen years ago, before moving up to the state Assembly, then Senate.

Joe Simitian begins his second stint as a Santa Clara County supervisor on Monday, with a swearing in to the position he last held in 2000.

Simitian, who was termed out of the state Senate, takes the District 5 seat of Liz Kniss, who, herself was termed out as supervisor, and elected to the Palo Alto City Council.

Simitian was elected to the county Board of Supervisors during the June 2012 election, easily besting his two other competitors to win the seat outright, without requiring a runoff in the November general election.

He will be representing many of the same constituents he served in the past 12 years in the state Senate and Assembly.

Before then, the public can contact Simitian at info@joesimitian.com.
