Meet Your Elected Officials

Elected representatives, from the state Assembly to the Purissima Hills Water Board outnumbered ordinary citizens Sunday at a League of Women Voters event intended to bring the two together.

Have you ever wanted to get some quality face time with your elected official? For a handful of residents who came out to the Los Altos Youth Center on a cloudy Sunday afternoon, there was ample opportunity in a relaxed and unhurried atmosphere.

Invited by the Los Altos-Mountain View chapter of the League of Women Voters, about 20 state and local representatives were on hand to talk about everything from school revenues and budgets to water rates and open space parkland.

If you're kicking yourself, don't worry. The League of Women Voters holds this event each year. Just watch the calendar listings on Los Altos Patch, same time, next year.
