Live Stream of Council Meetings Now on Tablets, Smartphones

A free upgrade made the improvement possible.

The City of Los Altos website is now fully compatible with smartphones and tablet devices allowing residents to view live streams of City Council meetings, the City announced Thursday.

A system upgrade, at no cost to the City, allows live streaming of video using HTML 5, making the videos accessible to all users.

“Since launching the new website in August, some community members commented that they were unable to view live streaming City Council meetings using certain mobile devices,” said  Erica Ray, Los Altos Public Information Coordinator in a written statement. “The City immediately began looking for a solution.”
