Got a Gripe About Local Planning?

If you're unhappy with local planning decisions or financial matters, or if you think new programs should be launched to enrich the lives of seniors, the City needs you.



The City of Los Altos is seeking residents to serve on four commissions.

Public Information Coordinator Erica Ray provided the following descriptions of openings:

Planning and Transportation Commission
 Members are responsible for design review of commercial projects, environmental and traffic impact analyses, General Plan updates, and other projects as directed.  (One vacancy for a term to expire in February 2016; Three vacancies for terms to expire in February 2018)

Design Review Commission
 Members are responsible for design review of all two-story, single-family residential design applications and variance requests. (Two vacancies for terms to expire in February 2018)

Financial Commission
 Members provide citizen input to Council and staff regarding financial policy issues.  (Three vacancies for terms to expire in February 2018)

Senior Commission
 Members advise Los Altos and Los Altos Hills City Councils on all matters pertaining to seniors.  (One vacancy for a term to expire in February 2015)
