Foothill Expressway Closure Saturday for PG&E Work
Cars and bikes heading into Palo Alto and Stanford will be detoured. Expect delays.

If you plan to run errands or cycle along Foothill Expressway Saturday, you might need to consider alternate routes.
The City of Palo Alto announced that Pacific Gas & Electric will repave the northbound stretch of Foothill Expressway between Hillview Avenue and Page Mill Road. This work follows—and nearly completes—the utilities pipeline replacement work in the city.
Traffic will be detoured up Hillview Avenue across to Deer Creek Road to get to Page Mill Road.
"Commuters and bicyclists should avoid the area if possible and if not, be prepared for delays," said Palo Alto spokeswoman Debra Katz. "The good news is that we’re truly in the final stretch here on this project!"
