Parks, Arts and Recreation Committee Meeting

The City of Los Altos Parks, Arts and Recreation Committee meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 7pm at City Hall. The parks, arts and recreation commission shall act in an advisory capacity to the council in all matters pertaining to parks, arts, and public recreation and shall cooperate with all other governmental agencies and civic groups in the advancement of sound parks, arts, and recreational planning and programming, shall make budget recommendations to the council with regard to parks, arts and recreation, and shall submit an annual report to the council. The parks, arts and recreation commission shall also advise the city council on cultural programs sponsored by the city and shall take an active role in the definition and execution of those programs which include, but are not limited to, exhibitions of paintings, sculpture, photography, and other visual and performing arts, as well as music, dance, poetry, and theater productions.
