Three non-injury accidents, four cold-crime reports and a dead skunk keep Los Altos police busy Tuesday.
Three non-injury accidents as well as four cold-case reports dealing with items missing from vehicles were reported by Los Altos police Tuesday.
Two afternoon accidents occurred within minutes of each other—the first at 1:32pm at the intersection of El Camino Real and Del Medio Avenue in Mountain View. Eleven minutes later, there was another accident, also on El Camino Real in Mountain View.
The third accident occurred about two hours later on South El Monte Avenue and Cuesta Drive.

Early Tuesday, police received four cold-case reports about items believed to have been taken from vehicles. These included a complaint of grand theft on Leonello Avenue at 9:47 a.m., and petty theft on Arboleda Drive at 11:17 a.m. Earlier, another petty theft complaint was made on Casita Way. A burglary report on Homestead Court came a few hours later.
In other police news, the day got off to a smelly start, when police took in a call about a dead skunk on San Antonio Road and Sherwood Avenue. The case was referred to animal control.
