A teenager driving an SUV escaped unhurt after crashing into a utility pole Monday morning, causing the closure of Altamont Road between Westwind Barn and Briones Way.

Altamont Road in Los Altos Hills is closed between Black Mountain Road and Briones Way because of a downed utility pole, the Santa Clara County Sheriff said Monday.
