Two DUI-Related Crashes in Santa Clara County on Christmas Eve

The crashes resulted in minor injuries, but there were no fatalities.

Police in Santa Clara County said there were no deaths as a result of DUIs on Saturday night, but that they saw two DUI-related crashes that caused minor injuries.

The Santa Clara County Sheriff Department could not be reached on Sunday for further comment. 

Drivers throughout the county can expect to see beefed-up DUI patrols and checkpoints through New Years Eve as part of the ongoing anti-drunk-driving campaign which is funded through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Extra DUI Saturation Patrols will be deployed in San Jose, Mountain View, Los Altos, Morgan Hill, and Cupertino. 

Police are asking the public to report drunk drivers this holiday season by calling 9-11.
