TRAFFIC ALERT: State Street Closed for Los Altos' 60th Anniversary Bash

A lot is happening downtown to honor the city, but traffic could be a headache unless you plan ahead.

If you plan to drive to downtown Los Altos Saturday evening remember to avoid State Street, the Los Altos Police Department suggests.

State Street will be closed on Sept. 29 from 2:30 p.m. until 11 p.m. due to the Family Concert on State Street, which will turn the thoroughfare into a temporary lawn (don't forget your picnic basket), according to Sgt. Cameron Shearer.

This could create spillover traffic and parking issues on neighboring streets.
