Top 5 in Los Altos Crime: Tows, Reckless Drivers, and DUIs

Los Altos Police looked for reckless drivers, dealt with cars in trouble, drivers imbibing too much, or others possessing marijuana on Thursday and early Friday.

If there's a theme to Thursday's police activity, it's cars getting towed or being driven recklessly. The other theme apparent is individuals being found with various substances.

 

1. Vehicles Towed

- 12:50 a.m. El Monte Avenue & Foothill Expressway, stranded motorist, stalled vehicle, tow en route.

- 2:36 p.m., 239 State St; General tow, vehicle towed from farmers market.

- 2:45 p.m., 260 State St.; General tow, vehicle towed from farmers market.

 

2. Health and Safety Violation

- 3:33 p.m., 1300 block of Oakhurst; Suspicious circumstances, officers stopped a vehicle and subject was cited for possession of marijuana.

- 11:52 p.m., Gabilan Street and Cuesta Drive; General H&S violation, report taken by officer.

 

3. Reckless Drivers

- 7:49 p.m., W. Edith Avenue & San Antonio Road; Report of reckless driver, officer advised to be on look out.

- 9:09 p.m., N. Clark Avenue & Almond Avenue; Report of reckless driver, officer advised to be on lookout.

 

4. Trespassing

- 10:29 p.m., 4900 block of El Camino Real; Trespassing, report taken by officer.

 

5. Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol or Drugs

- 3:47 a.m., Friday, June 10; El Camino Real & Ortega Avenue; DUI arrest.
