Top 5 in Los Altos Crime: Sept. 30-Oct. 2

A dog bite, an egged house, a trip-and-fall downtown, and a zoning dispute between neighbors highlight the weekend's police log.

The following information was supplied by the Los Altos Police Department. Wherever arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. A fuller report will follow on Saturday.

1. Animal Bite:

- Sept. 30, 3:29 p.m., 300 block of Lunada Ct.; a dog bite report was taken.

2. Malicious Mischief in Progress:

- Sept. 30, 10:22 p.m., 400 block of Traverso Ave.; police responded to report of a house being egged.

3. Welfare Check:

- Oct. 1, 4:47 a.m., Grant Road and Fremont Avenue; police checked on the welfare of a possible drunk person who turned out to be lost. Police called a cab.

4. Public Accident:

- Oct. 2, 10:41 a.m., Main and Second streets; Someone tripped and fell, report taken.

5. Civil Complaint:

- Oct. 2, 12:26 p.m., 500 block of Lassen St.; a civil disagreement between neighbors prompted police to refer reporting neighbor to city engineering for a zoning issue.
