Top 5 in Los Altos Crime: Reckless Drivers, Suspicious Vehicles And Just Plain Empty Vehicles

No one was arrested, but there was a lot of behaving badly in vehicles Monday, or suspicions of such.

Vehicles, and what people were doing or not doing with them emerged as theme for Monday and the early hours of Tuesday in the Los Altos Police log.  About five 911 hangups were recorded, including a child playing with the telephone, and a couple of calls for medication disposals.

1. Suspicious vehicles or persons or circumstances

- 7:31 a.m., Lunada Drive & Los Altos Avenue, suspicious occupied vehicle; officer responded and contacted occupant. No crime

-4:41 p.m., 2310 Homestead Rd, suspiciouse person, officers responded and made contact and suspect is moving on

- 12:41 a.m. June 14; 700 block of Distel Drive, officers responded and made contact, information only

- 4:08 a.m., 1100 block of Brucito Avenue, suspicious circumstances, officer responded, information only

2. Abandoned vehicles

- 8:40 a.m., Pasa Robles & Mercedes Avenue; Officer responded and tagged vehicle

- 2:10 p.m., Interstate - 280 and Foothill Expressway; Abandoned vehicle, officer made contact and tow is on the way

- 2:16 p.m., Beechwood Lane & Deodara Drive; Abandoned trailer, officer made contact and trailer was tagged to be towed

3. Reckless drivers

- 10:32 a.m., El Camino Real and Showers Drive; report of reckless bus, call was gien to Mountain View Police

- 4:06 p.m., Foothill Expressway $ Arastradero Road, Report of reckless driver, information given to PAPD

- 5;41 p.m., 00 block of Higgins Av., Report of vehicles driving recklessly - officer responded and vehicles were gone on arrival

4. Non-injury accident

- 5:04 N. San Antonio Rd & Pine Lane; accident no injuies, report taken

5. Stolen vehicle

- 8:01 p.m. 1400 block of Miramonte Avenue, cold report, recovered stolen vehicle
