Top 5 in Los Altos Crime: Oct. 3

A few rush hour non-injury accidents, an accident with minor injuries, a hit and run, and an apparent lost-and-found-package are just part of the top events from the Los Altos Police log.

The following information was supplied by the Los Altos Police Department. Wherever arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. A fuller report will follow on Saturday.

1. No Injury Accidents:

- 7:51 a.m., Fremont Avenue and Fallen Leaf Lane

- 8:18 a.m., Foothill Expressway and El Monte Avenue

- 9:28 a.m., Foothill Expressway and El Monte Avenue

In all three collisions there was property damage only. Officers assisted with exchange of information between drivers.

2. Accident With Minor Injury:

- 12:15 p.m., S. San Antonio Rd. and Lyell St.; traffic collision with minor injuries, report taken.

3. Accident Hit and Run:

- 4:39 p.m., N. San Antonio Rd. and Loucks Avenue; a hit and run collision resulted in property damage only, report taken.

4. Theft From Unlocked Vehicle:

- 9:13 a.m., 2300 block of Deodara Dr.; a theft from an unlocked vehicle was reported to police.

5. Suspicious Package:

- 2:44 p.m., 2100 block of Deodara Dr.; a report of a suspicious package became found property from earlier report of theft from an unlocked vehicle on the same street. The property was returned to the owner.
