Top 5 From the Los Altos Police Log: Two Accidents & Disturbances on Wednesday, Aug. 31

The month of August ends with a fairly quiet day from the log.

The following information was supplied by the Los Altos Police Department and reflect how incidents were initially reported. Wherever arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not mean a conviction. A fuller report will follow on Saturday.

1. Minor Injury Accident: 8:36 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 31; 200 block of Almond Avenue; report taken.

2. Non-Injury Hit-and-Run: 12:01 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 31; Second Street and Plaza South; report taken.

3. Disturbances

- 5:33 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 31; 0 block of Pasa Robles Avenue; officers assisted.

- 2:28 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 1; El Camino Real and Showers Drive; report of subjects throwing things into the roadway, police made contact, field interrogation card completed.

4. Open Door: 8:44 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 31; 900 block of Madonna Way; request for police to walk through a house with an open door. Police responded and performed walk-through.

5. Suspicious Person Report: 3:25 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 31; 100 block of Main Street; officer responded, was unable to locate.
