Top 5 From the Los Altos Police Log: Traffic Edition, July 21

A quick snapshot of the Los Altos Police log for July 21. Let's just say it was a bad day to be a car.

1. Traffic/Accidents:

- Major injury accident: 10:13 a.m., July 21, Foothill Expressway and Grant Road; 41-year-old man riding his bicycle on the expressway and struck a parked vehicle and sustained non-life-threatening abrasions and cuts to his face and arms, and was transported to Stanford Hospital for further treatment, report taken

- Stranded motorist: 7:08 p.m., July 21, Panchita Way and Alvarado Ave; officer responded to report, assistance was provided.

- Reckless driver: 4:08 p.m., July 21, N. San Antonio Road and Almond Ave; report of driver's information given to officers. 

- Four general tows: between 2:31 p.m. and 3:01 p.m., July 21, 200 block of State Street, site of the Farmers Market.

2. Driving on Suspended license: 10:23 a.m., July 21, Hillview Ave. and San Antonio Road; vehicle towed and driver issued misdemeanor citation. 

3. Auto Burlgary: 9:09 p.m., July 21, 1067 N. San Antonio Road; report taken by officer. 

4. Dead Animal: 1:27 p.m., July 21, 798 Vista Grande Ave; dead skunk, animal control advised. 

5. Noise Compaint: 4:48 a.m., July 22, 2020 El Sereno Ave; warning given.
