Top 5 from the Los Altos Police Log: Sept. 21-22 Traffic Hazard
The biggest incidents from today's Los Altos police report.
1. Traffic hazard: 8:49 p.m., N. San Antonio Road and Almond Avenue; a road construction crew was doing work on a roadway without lighting. The private construction crew was preparing a part of the roadway for repavement without contacting the city, said Los Altos Police Captain Andy Galea. The crew was let off with a warning.
2. Suspicious circumstances: 3:21 p.m., 1000 Block of Los Altos Ave.; a resident returned home thought she had seen someone in the house, but when officers arrived no one was there, said Cpt. Galea.
3. Undefined theft: 4:49 a.m., 100 block of First St.; someone reported a theft from a recycling bin outside a business. Officers responded and contacted an individual but no report was taken, meaning either no theft was to be found or they were unable to locate a relevant individual, said Cpt. Galea.

4. Noisy animal: 11:17 p.m., 400 block of Rosita Ave.; barking dog, quiet on arrival and departure.
5. Commercial alarm: 3:51 a.m., 900 block of Fremont Ave.; audible commercial alarm, police responded, found malfunction.
