Top 5 From the Los Altos Police Log: Sept. 19 Mountain Lion, Identity Theft

A mountain lion spotted and identity stolen.

The following information was supplied by the Los Altos Police Department and reflect how incidents were initially reported. Wherever arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not mean a conviction. A more complete report will follow on Saturday.

1. Mountain lion sighting: 12:16 p.m., Cristo Rey Drive and Via Esplendor; referred to Mountain View police.

1. Identity theft: 12:40 p.m., 1864 Dalehurst Ave.; report taken.

2. Infraction warrant: 9:54 a.m., 1 N. San Antonio Rd.; subject cited to appear in court and released. 

3.  Vehicle collision: 10:17 a.m., El Camino Real and Showers Drive; no injuries, property damage only, no report desired.

4. Illegal dumping: 9:30 a.m., 680 Benvenue Ave.; report taken.
