Top 5 From the Los Altos Police Log: Sept. 16-19 Methamphetamine, DUI, Hit and Run

A DUI, health and safety violations, and accidents peppered this weekend in Los Altos.

The following information was supplied by the Los Altos Police Department and reflect how incidents were initially reported. Wherever arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not mean a conviction. A fuller report will follow on Saturday.

1. Misdemeanor Warrant Arrest: 9:06 a.m., Sept. 18, Foothill Expressway and Old Oak Court; Driving on a suspended license, subject arrested and vehicle impounded.

2. Health and Safety Violations

- 11:13 a.m., Sept. 18, El Camino Real and Arastradero Road; one arrested and one cited for posession of methamphetamine and being under the influence of a controlled substance.

- 8:49 p.m., Sept.18, El Camino Real and Los Altos Avenue; drug violation, misdemeanor citation issued.

- Hit and Run: 2:24 p.m., Sept. 17, Foothill Expressway and Interstate Highway 280; no injuries, report taken.

- Accidents: 12:23 a.m., Sept. 17, Fremont Avenue and Grant Road; no injuries.

4. DUI: 12:48 a.m., Sept. 18, Berry Avenue and Miraflores Way; arrest made and report taken.

5. Gas Leaf Blower Complaints

- 9:46 a.m., Sept. 16, 212 Hillview Av.; Officer responded and made contact.

- 8:54 a.m., Sept. 17, 233 Third St.; Gone on arrival.

- 11:17 a.m., Sept. 17, Valencia Drive and Almond Avenue; Officer located subject operating leaf blower.

The Santa Clara County Fire Department also responded to a natural vegetation fire in Los Altos Hills at 10855 Loyola Drive.
