Top 5 from the Los Altos Police Log: Oct. 17

The most noteworthy incidents from today's police log.

The following information was supplied by the Los Altos Police Department. Wherever arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. A full report for the week will follow on Saturday.

Residential burglary

 - 12:37 p.m.; two bikes stolen from a shed at 777 Manor Way. Cold case, no report taken.

Possible fire

- 7:53 pm; 1917 Frandon Avenue, referred to fire department. Information only.

Accidents

- 1:46 p.m.; Foothill Expressway and Grant Road; no injuries, officers assisted in name exchange. 

- 2:03 p.m.; 1525 Miramonte Avenue, hit and run, no injuries. 

Dogs off leash

- 2:21 p.m.; 482 University Avenue; officer contacted dog owners, reprimanded and released.
