Arson, an egged home, and a grand theft made this weekend's blotter.

The following are reports from the Los Altos Police log. All incidents listed are initial reports. When there are arrests mentioned in our daily logs, it does not mean there was a conviction. 

Thefts

Jan. 6, 1:51 p.m.; 696 Fremont Avenue; grand theft cold report, money taken from business.

Jan 7, 1:02 p.m.; 691 University Avenue; vandalism of a vehicle, no report requested.

Jan 8, 10:03 a.m.; 691 University Avenue; theft from an unlocked vehicle, report taken.

Malicious mischief 

Jan 7, 1:02 p.m.; 691 University Avenue; vandalism of a vehicle, no report requested.

Jan. 8, 1:42 p.m., 2000 block of Kent Drive; house egged, no permanent damage, information only. 

Arson

Jan. 8, 11:52 a.m.; 700 Los Altos Avenue; arson, report taken. 

Misdemeanor Warrant

Jan. 8, 12:58 p.m., Carmel Avenue and Pasa Robles Avenue; Report of a suspicious couple with disabled vehicle; officers responded and one of the subjects was arrested for outstanding warrant. 

Fraud

Jan. 8, 3:40 p.m., 199 Main Street; fraud cold report.
