A desk dumped on a lawn, animal rescue, and a felony warrant arrest kept police busy over the holiday weekend.

Illegal dumping

Dec. 23: Police responded to a call about a desk dumped on a front lawn in the 400 block of Casita Way. Report taken. 6:41 p.m.

Animal rescue

Dec. 24: Police responded to a report of a dog stuck in a creek near the 900 block of Parma Way. Officers assisted in freeing the dog. 11:25 p.m.

Suspicious person

Dec. 25: Police responded to a report of a suspicious person seen on the 400 block of University Avenue. Officers were unable to locate the subject. 3:15 p.m.

Felony warrant

Dec. 26: A subject with an outstanding felony warrant was taken into police custody in the 1400 block of Wessex Avenue. Subject was booked into jail. 3:05 p.m.

Traffic collision

Dec. 26: Police responded to a traffic collision with minor injuries at Fremont Avenue and A Street. Report taken. 4:20 p.m.
