Top 5 From the Los Altos Police Log: August 4, Three Theft Reports

A stolen laptop and two other thefts highlights Thursday's log.

The following information was supplied by the Los Altos Police Department. Wherever arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. A fuller report will follow on Saturday.

1. Thefts

- Grand Theft Report: Stolen Laptop; 10:33 a.m., Thursday, August 4; 1000 block of Eastwood Court.

- Bicycle Theft: 10:06 a.m., Thursday, August 4; 500 block of Casita Way; report taken.

- Undefined theft: 9:50 a.m., Thursday, August 4; 800 block of Echo Drive; officer contacted caller, no report taken.

2. Suspicious Circumstances

- 4:47 p.m., Thursday, August 4; 1300 block of Miravalle Avenue; officers investigated, no report taken.

- 7:41 p.m., Thursday, August 4; 500 block of Gabilan Street; police department responded, not at home.

- Suspicious vehicle: 8:56 p.m., Thursday, August 4; N. San Antonio Road and Parsons Way; officer responded, unable to locate vehicle, cleared and gone on arrival.

3. Accidents

- Minor injury accident: 12:43 p.m., Thursday, August 4; El Camino Real and Jordan Avenue; report taken.

- Non-injury accident: 9:37 a.m., Thursday, August 4; Los Altos Avenue and El Camino Real.

4. Other Bad Behavior

- Malicious Mischief: report of vandalism; 12:21 a.m., Friday, August 5; 600 block of Berry Avenue; officer contacted caller.

- Drunk in public: 12:25 a.m., Friday, August 5; 100 block of First Street; subject arrested.

5. Traffic Violations

- 3:51 p.m., Thursday, August 4; 1500 block of Miramonte Avenue; broadcast units, unable to locate subject.

- 5:36 p.m., Thursday, August  4; Grant Road and Foothill Expressway; area checked, unable to locate subject.

- General tow: 2:32 p.m., August 4; 100 block of State Street; vehicle parked in no-park spot of Farmers Market.
