Top 5 From The Los Altos Police Blotter: Oct. 14-17
It apparently was a noisy weekend in Los Altos, between barking dogs, loud parties, construction noise and family disturbances. Other items include two DUI's, welfare checks and a collision at Foothill Expressway and Main Street.
The following information was supplied by the Los Altos Police Department. Wherever arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. A full report for the week will follow on Saturday.
1. Noise Complaints
There were several noise complaints over the weekend:

Oct. 14, 9:50 a.m., 100 block of Del Monte Avenue. Barking dog.
Oct. 15, 8:42 p.m., 1500 block of Kensington Circle. Another barking dog.

Oct. 15, 9:44 p.m., 1300 block of Holly Avenue. A loud party was reported.
Oct. 15, 11:47 p.m., 1500 block of Holt Avenue. Another noise complaint was handled by policy.
Oct. 16, 12:23 p.m., 1900 block of Churton Avenue. Police responded to complaint of construction noise; homeowner was advised of municipal code.
2. DUI's
Oct. 16, 1:52 a.m., El Camino Real and Charleston Road. A driver was arrested for driving under the influence.
Oct. 17, 2:42 a.m., Ortega Avenue and Latham Street. A suspected drunk driver was stopped and arrested.
3. Family Disturbances
Oct. 15, 10:06 a.m., 100 block of E. Portola Avenue. An officer assisted at the scene of a family disturbance.
Oct. 16, 9:37 p.m., 1600 block of Wakefield Terrace. Officers responded to a report of a family disturbance, made contact and took an incidence report.
4. Welfare Checks
Oct. 16, 4:13 p.m., Second Street and Lyell Street. Officer responded to a request for a welfare check; everything checked out "O.K."
Oct. 16, 11:46 p.m., 1700 block of Joel Way. Officers made contact with the subject.
5. Non-injury Accident
Oct. 16, 1:37 p.m., Foothill Expressway and Main Street. An accident occurred at the intersection. No injuries; report taken.
