Top 5 From Los Altos Police Blotter: Oct. 11

Fender benders, theft from an unlocked car, an askew parked car, and a pesky solicitor top the day's items.

The following information was supplied by the Los Altos Police Department. Wherever arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. A fuller report will follow on Saturday.

1. Non-injury Accident

8:47 a.m., intersection of Grant and Covington roads. An accident took place that included property damage, but no injuries.

2.Theft

10:58 a.m. 600 block of Benvenue Ave. Police took a report of a theft from an unlocked vehicle.

3. Minor Injury Accident

11:20 a.m., N. San Antonio Road and Almond Avenue. A collision resulting in minor injuries occurred.

4. Vehicle Hazard

2:50 and 2:53 p.m., S. Clarke Avenue and Hawthorne Court. Two calls came in about the same vehicle parked in an unsafe manner. A check by officers found that the vehicle was in fact parked legally and deemed not a safety hazard.

5. Solicitor

8:09 p.m., 1800 block of Grant Road. A solicitor was making himself or herself unwelcome at a residence and was refusing to leave. Officers reprimanded and released the solicitor.
